You are a body; autonomous and self empowered.
You are a mind; a powerful machine.
You are both, and something else.
You are also fertilizer; dead but never gone.
You are wisdom; imparted during joyous life.
You are both, and something in between.
Your eyes perceive the world but the world also perceives you.
Your mind thinks, but your soul is what feels and loves.
No one can understand that unexplainable subconscious force.
When you are dead and gone — decomposed in the spirited earth or incinerated into vibrant ashes — bits and pieces of your soul remain attached to those you have carefully composed a deeper connection with. This exchange is not transactional or forged through entrusted actions, but simply from “being” with someone. You connect in the moments where you look into someone’s eyes in deep contemplation and feel their soul bursting with exuberance from their body. You feel it during the times when you hear someone talk and the words become obsolete because the undertone is the soul’s way of making you understand. You are taught about it when you are granted the precious gift of desperation, and you feel the empathy and love of your closest connections; even without words or contact. That is attachment through the soul. You can never see, smell, touch, hear, or taste that. You must connect with it through moments of deep emotion; whether that be joy, loss, or the simple things. In that moment your souls are sautered together.
